[1953] Reissue. Previously published, under the title Bernese Holiday, in 1940. 188pp. In emerald green cloth-covered boards (rubbed at edges, lightly scuffed and faded at spine tips, small crease in cloth/indentation on leading edge, sunned spine). Pages tanning, especially at margins, else internally clean and neat. In its original dust wrapper, now worn, rubbed and a little cracked on edges and folds, loose, minor loss at spine ends. Jane Shaw was a prolific and popular author of children's books in the mid 20th century, perhaps best remembered for her 'Susan' series.
