It was largely as a result of the career of William Richard Morris that Oxford became one of the Britain's foremost manufacturing centres, with the first Morris Oxford car appearing in 1913. Founder of the Morris car company, Morris also financed the establishment of Nuffield College, Oxford. His name ceased to appear on motorcars in 1983 when Morris Motors became part of British Leyland but the MG badge has survived. This volume gives an account of his life and achievements. 8vo.
