16pp stapled booklet, with black and white illustrations, in stiff card covers (covers a little worn and faded around spine, a few marks on back cover; internally neat, clean, bright and tight). An A4 folded leaflet loosely laid in, given a brief account of the commissioning and construction of the Maunsell Sea Forts, also by Frank R Turner. Booklet gives a history of the secret project to construct sea forts, designed by Guy Maunsell, in the Thames Estuary during the second world war, to deter German magnetic mines. Hard to find title.
