Kent's first cinematograph flickered into life in Dover and Ramsgate in 1897. Purpose built cinemas appeared around 1910, and soon picture palaces existed in every part of the county, This volume recounts their history, architecture and success, with valuable historic views of buildings which no longer exist. 8vo.
