256pp, black and white illustrations throughout. Red cloth-covered boards with silver titles to front and spine. 8vo. Moderately bumped and frayed spine ends, wear to boards especially at joints. Small stains to front board and lower half of rear. Bottom corners are rubbed with small loss of cloth. Text block lightly tanning and foxing. Previous owner's name and small discolouration on front free endpaper. Internally a neat, clean, bright and tight volume. Numerous black and white illustrations throughout as the Story of England's history is told.
