136pp, four black and white plates (inc. frontispiece). Red boards with black titles on the spine, illustrated endpapers. 8vo. Sun-faded spine, ends and corners rubbed. Small mark on front, tape residue on rear. Top text block edge dusty, edges just starting to fox. Foxing to verso of endpapers but otherwise internally neat, clean and bright. Dust jacket has shelf wear, especially to rear (some staining also), chipping and minor losses along edges, price clipped. On London as the inspiration for Mr Gays 'The Beggar's Opera'.
