xii, 92pp, colour photographic plate frontispiece, several colour photographic plates and some black and white illustrations. Burnt orange cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on spine. 4to. Sun-faded spine, split and fraying; ends rubbed with cloth torn or worn through. Some soiling to boards; corners rubbed and rounded, cloth wearing through. Bookseller's label on front pastedown. Light soiling and staining to endpapers. Otherwise internally very neat, clean and tight. On the imitative painting of woods and marbles with chapters on the preparation of surfaces, graining colours, brushes, tools and appliances, etc.
