224pp incl. 2pp publisher's ads. Green cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on front and spine. 8vo. Sun-faded spine and where there is jacket loss. Very lightly bumped and rubbed spine ends. Light bumping to front top edge; rounded top rear corner. Scuffed and scratched lower front board. Dusty top text block edge, water stain; remaining edges foxing, starting to tan. Signature binding. Signed and inscribed by author on front free endpaper 'M. H. Goddard, from G. H. Lang. 24/3/45.' Endpapers foxing, starting to tan. Otherwise, internally neat, clean and bright, barring light foxing to prelims. Dust jacket has significant shelf wear, chipping, loss and previously poorly fitted. 'Uniform with this book in style is the history of A. N. Grooves, from whom Aroolappen learned the ways of God. It includes a fresh study of the origins and principles of The Brethren.'
