Cloth is a little rubbed and rounded on corners and spine tips, top edge a little dust stained, lightly cocked. Internally neat, clean and tight. In its original dust jacket, a little rubbed on corners and spine ends, sunned around edges and over spine, slightly spotted on verso. Dust jacket now protected in an archival quality Mylar wrapper fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Taylor was a American writer of mystery novels, popular in her time, who also published under the pen names Freeman Dana and Alice Titon. Her Asey Mayo mysteries are perhaps the most enduring of her works, and classics of the Golden Era of crime fiction.
