Ninth edition. xii, 504pp. Burgundy cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on spine. 8vo. Lightly rubbed spine ends; quite cocked. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges tanning; page margins tanning. Previous owner's name and bookseller's label on front pastedown. Internally neat, clean and tight. Paper dust jacket has minor loss at spine head, sun-fading, shelf wear, chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped. Reprinted edition with changes more important than in any since the second edition. The book has been reset which has given the author the opportunity of altering it freely.
