First edition. 226pp; five black and white plates (inc. tissue-guarded frontispiece). Yellow cloth-covered boards; black design on front, black titles on front and spine; various vignettes to the text. 8vo. Sun-faded spine. Bumped spine heel, head rubbed; cloth fraying. Corners rubbed; two dents on front towards top corner; cloth broken. Soiling and wear. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges starting to tan and fox. Bookseller's rubber stamp on front pastedown, colour picture of the jungle has been pasted to front free endpaper along with previous owner's details. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
