1st edition, 1st printing. [1950]. 192pp. Hardback in publisher's red cloth boards (worn on edges and joints, mild marks). Lending sheet on front free endpaper, no other library markings. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight, with minor spotting and toning to endpapers, and dusty fore-edge). In its original G P Micklewright dust jacket (rubbed and small nicks at edges, minor loss at head of spine and similar on upper edge of verso). Hard to find title, in attractive period dust jacket. Roland Daniel was a successful and prolific crime genre author, publishing from 1928 until his death in 1969. Unlike so many of the genre writers of the period, his stories still hold up. Jacket fitted with archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong its life. It is not adhered to the book or to the jacket. 12vo 0
