Volume protected with Brodart-style sleeve. Lightly rubbed spine ends, text block edges starting to fox. Endpapers just starting to fox. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket protected with Brodart style sleeve, has light shelf wear, rubbed spine ends, chipping to edges. Edited and with an Introduction by Lillian Hellman. None of these selections have appeared in a hardcover book before, most were originally published in Black Mask magazine; the selection includes The Gutting of Couffignal and The Scorched Face.
