First edition, first printing. 182pp, monochrome portrait frontispiece. In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine. Top edge sprayed red. Coloured endpapers. 8vo. Small indentation in cloth at base of spine else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original, gently edge worn dust jacket, a little tanned on inner flaps. A very presentable and pleasing copy of this colourful biography of Mother - a independent, feisty single-mother and businesswomen in London in the1920s, revealing a racy life, a taste for the finer things and London in during the first world war and the Roaring Twenties.
