290pp, numerous black and white photographs. Cream cloth-covered boards; blind embossed design on front, brown titles on spine. 8vo. Lightly rubbed spine ends. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges starting to tan. Signed and inscribed by author of front free endpaper 'To T.W. Wheeler, with good wishes, Leslie Weatherhead'. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight. Dust jacket sun-faded, has light shelf wear, chipping to edges, mirrors book damage, not price clipped. John Ruskin said that one of the greatest devotional exercises was imaginatively to attempt 'to be present as if in the body at each of the recorded acts in the life of the Redeemer'.
