1st edition, 1st printing (true first). 48pp. Blue publisher's cloth-covered boards (just a tad worn at edges). With line drawings by Edgar Norfield. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight, barring previous owner's name on front endpaper. In its original period dust jacket (a little worn and rubbed at edges). Dust jacket now protected in archival quality mylar wrapper which prolongs the life of the paper, keeps it clean and protects it from damage. It is not adhered to the book or to the dust jacket. In 'The Small Miracle' Gallico has written a new story in the same genre at his The Snow Goose, one of the best loved stories of the mid 20th century. The Small Miracle tells of the adventures of a little Italian boy whose donkey fell sick and seemed likely to die. But the child had faith, and was sure that if he could just his donkey to St Francis, all would be well. Filmed as Never Take No For an Answer.
