Mass market paperback. Reprint. 158pp. Signed on the title page by Harry Harrison. In stiff card, illustrated covers. 12mo. Covers rubbed at edges with some corner creasing and light scuffing at spine ends. Indentation on rear cover affecting last few pages. Some mild page toning. The first volume in Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat series to be published, the fourth in the series chronology. Large parts of the story first appeared in two novellas originally published in the August 1957 issue of Astounding magazine, which were reworked by Harrison into this novel.
