1st ed, 1st imp. Grey cloth-covered boards (worn and faded at edges, a little marked). Lending sheet on front free endpaper, no other library markings. Pages a little toned at edges. In its original dust jacket (worn and faded, rubbed at edges, old interior tape repair). From the author of 'Bodies in the Bookshop', two shorter detective stories in which Professor Stubbs, once again, fights crime in his own, rollicking, rombostious, botanist-detective way. Very hard to find title from this breezy but 'on the whole grammatical' author. Ruthven Campbell Todd was a Scottish poet, artist and novelist, mostly remembered for editing the works of William Blake. During the 1940s he also wrote detective fiction as R T Campbell.
