440pp. Mustard cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on printed spine label; top text block edge sprayed mustard; endpapers mustard colour. Small 4to. . Lightly bumped spine ends, lender's shelf number label on spine, slight rubbing to lower corners. Lender's stamps, bar code and markings on front endpapers and copyright page else internally a very neat, clean, bright and tight volume. The Reports reprinted here are for several reasons, of great historical interest. Considered together they provide one of the most detailed, and certainly one of the most reliable, descriptive accounts of American manufacturing methods in the middle of the nineteenth century.
