Book produced to War Economy Standards. 190pp. Red cloth boards (faded, heavily rubbed at edges and joints, a few marks, rounded at corners, curled and starting to fray at sunned spine ends, soiled, cloth crease). Library lending sheet and stamps on front endpapers, else no other library markings. Some marks on toned and well-thumbed pages. In its original, now worn, edge-chipped and faded dust jacket with old internal tape repairs to cracked and creased spine and folds). Vintage, period art work by Micklewright. Dust jacket now in archival-quality mylar wrapper to protect & prolong the life of the jacket. It is not adhered to the book or to the dust jacket. Brandon was a prolific writer of mystery and detective thrillers. What his works lack in terms of depth is made up for by the pace at which the action moves and the relentless use of the same ingredients over a thirty year writing career. Hard to find title.
