Uniformly bound in purple buckram over paper-covered illustrated boards with gilt lettering on red faux spine labels. Maps on endpapers. Small 4to. A very large and very heavy set which may incur an additional charge for overseas delivery. In fine condition throughout. Each volume housed in deep red, illustrated, medium-weight card slipcase, also in as new condition. Introductions by Peter Heather in each volume. A lovely, crisp and bright set of this revised edition of Hodgkin's monumental work based on the 1892 edition.
