First edition. viii, 550pp, with black and white illustrations throughout. 8vo. In grey cloth-covered boards with white titles front and spine. Boards a little faded and rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Lender's stamp on upper text block edge. Ex lending library with usual markings on endpapers, a few institutional stamps on prelims else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A close and details study of muscidae, with over 3800 described species. An important but hard to find title on the topic.
