Volumes I and II only. [4] xxiv, 458pp, plus 15 plate illustrations at rear; [6], 472pp, plus 32 plate illustrations at rear. In blue cloth-covered boards. 8vo. Volume one - cloth shelf worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, backstrip absent, boards detached, front free endpaper absent, half title loose. A little faint and occasional spotting on plates especially, small stamp of the Wellcome Library on reverse of title page, some minor damage to edges of pages, else internally neat and clean. Volume two - cloth worn, rubbed and rounded on edges, corners, spine joints and tips, some loss at spine head, spine label soiled and chipped. Volume a little loose. Internally some faint and occasional spotting, especially to plates, and small stamp from Wellcome Library on reverse of title page. Very hard to find set.
