First edition, second impression. xxxii, 176pp, with 64 coloured figures of plant species, 87 photographic reproductions, 119 drawings in text, and including a pictorial colour key to the plates. In red cloth-covered boards with gilt and black lettering and gilt decorations. Speckled edges. Illustrated endpapers. 16mo. Cloth is a little rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Upper text block edge slightly dust darkened. Small patch of fading on front free endpaper, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. In its original, price clipped, dust jacket with colour illustrated tipped in on front panel, brushed and shelf worn, gently bumped at edges, spotted - especially over spine. A charming guide to British Wild Flowers, with stunning botanical illustrations.
