Quarter bound in brown cloth over tan paper boards with gilt titles on spine. Yellow endpapers. In an illustrated dust jacket and housed in an illustrated slipcase. Tall 8vo. . The letter 'D' has been written on the rear endpaper and there's a label affixed to the front paste down and dust jacket inner flap indicating the volume was first sold as damaged stock. The rear inner flap of the dust jacket has been misfolded, resulting in a little rubbing around the upper rear corner and a little bumping on upper edge (likely the damage referred to on the label). The slipcase shows a little shelf wear and is very slightly rubbed on corners. A beautiful edition of this classic children's story.
