First edition, first printing. 454pp, plus numerous black and white plate illustrations. In yellow cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on green relief on spine. 12mo. Cloth very gently rubbed at extreme edges. Upper text block edge a little dust darkened. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original illustrated dust jacket, worn and torn, price clipped, lower portion of backstrip absent, interior tape repairs.
