First edition, first printing. xvi, 322pp, with occasional monochrome plate illustrations, one of which fold outs and a folding chart.  In blue cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on spine.  8vo.  Cloth moderately rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.  Text block edges slightly darkened.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  A vivid picture of the course of the second world war on the national level, on the civic level and as it touched the front line city of Canterbury - the actual centre of the Battle of Britain.  Hard to find title.
