246pp, [2]pp publisher ads; three black and white plates (one plate absent). Brown cloth-covered boards; gilt titles on spine. 12mo. Sun-faded spine, heavilly rubbed corners and spine ends, 2cm tear to cloth at front joint at spine head. Top text block edge tanned, remaining edges tanning and foxing. Front free endpaper missing, remaining endpapers tanning and foxing. Foxing throughout, worse at prelims, volume quite loose.
