First edition, first printing. 232pp, well illustratred with black and white photographs. In steel blue paper-covered boards with gilt royal blue lettering on spine. 8vo. Boards are worn, rubbed on corners and spine ends, with minor loss at spine heel. Hint of toning on endpapers only. First two or three leaves show light signs of compression. A Survey of commercial vehicles being manufactured in England in the late 1940s, starting with an analysis of recent design and manufacturing developments and then going on to explore specific vehicles manufacturer by manufacturer, including Ford, Dennis, Leyland, Bedford, Atkinson, Commer, Mercury and more.
