First edition, sixth impression.ย  144pp, with 16 full-page woodcut illustrations and further woodcuts in text, all by C F Tunnicliffe.ย  In blue-cloth covered boards with with white lettering front and spine. Small 4to.ย  Cloth is heavily faded in places, scarred on spine, and gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.ย  Previous owner's name inked on a very lightly spotted front free endpaper, else interally neat, clean bright and tight. An evocative account of experiences as a fisherman, with chapters on the Saga of Pacific Salmon, Days in the Hebrides, Fishing in the West Country of England, The Swift Rivers of Norway and the Russian Revolution and Leonid Andrev's Yellow Perch etc., accompanied by elegent woodcut illustrations by C F Tunnicliffe.
