First edition, first printing.  vi, 263, [3]pp, with colour plate frontispiece and further line drawings in text.  In blue cloth-covered boards with deep blue lettering front and spine. 12mo.  Cloth a little rubbed and corners at corners and spine ends.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, a little shelf worn, lightly bumped in edges and rubbed around corners and spine tips, a couple of short nicks from edges on verso, one resulting in minor loss at spine base. The second Billy Bunter story. Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.  Perhaps best known for the Greyfriars School stories featuring Billy Bunter, he also created St Jim's School starring Tom Merry and Rockwood School, under the pen name Owen Conquest.  We have many Charles Hamilton books in stock and can offer generous discounts to those ordering more than one book at a time - please inquire.
