First edition, first impression.  vi, 216pp, with colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text.  In emerald green cloth-covered boards with yellow lettering front and spine.  12mo.  Cloth a little rounded at spine base.  Upper text block edge has some spotting.  Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.   In its original, illustrated dust jacket, a little bumped at edges - and more markedly along rear lower edge, midly sunned on spine, shelf wear visible on verso. Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.  Perhaps best known for the Greyfriars School stories featuring Billy Bunter, he also created St Jim's School starring Tom Merry and Rockwood School, under the pen name Owen Conquest.  We have many Charles Hamilton books in stock and can offer generous discounts to those ordering more than one book at a time - please inquire.
