First edition, first impression.  254pp, colour plate frontispiece and line drawings in text.  In bright green cloth-covered boards with red lettering front and spine spine. 12mo.  Cloth a little rounded at spine ends.  Upper text block edge slightly dust darkened. Internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  In its original dust wrapper, lightly bumped and nicked at edges, rubbed at spine head with short closed tear, spine a little sunned, a little mild shelf wear on verso. Dust wrapper now protected in an archival-quality Mylar sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives. Frank Richards was one of the many pen names of Charles Hamilton (1876-1961), one of the most popular and prolific authors of boy's school stories and long-running series stories featuring recurring characters.  Perhaps best known for the Greyfriars School stories featuring Billy Bunter, he also created St Jim's School starring Tom Merry and Rockwood School, under the pen name Owen Conquest.  We have many Charles Hamilton books in stock and can offer generous discounts to those ordering more than one book at a time - please inquire.
