Brodart-style sleeve
Dust jackets(s) with a Brodart-style, paper-backed, protective sleeve fitted by previous owner.
First edition, first printing. xvi, 256pp, plus 40 colour plates and numerous further black and white plate illustrations. Publisher's green cloth boards with gilt lettering on backstrip. 8vo. Cloth slightly pushed at spine ends, a little spotting on text block edges, small & faint mark on front paste down, date inked on front free endpaper, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. In its original illustrated dust wrapper with some mild browning on predominently white rear panel. Jacket protected in a Brodard-style sleeve fitted without the use of tape or adhesives.
