First edition. x, 146pp, plus 12 colour plate illustrations and drawings in text.  In red cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine.  4to.  Cloth gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a little mottling near edges.  Faint and occasional spotting on text block edges and more faintly on the occasional page, else internally neat, clean and tight.  Two large black and white photographs of race horses, with inscriptions on reverse, loosely laid in.  In its original worn, marked, toned and torn dust wrapper. Beautifully illustrated with 12 colour plates from paintings of race courses and race horses.
