viii, 88pp. Bound in strong deep green original cloth, decorated with stamp work, later title added to spine. Bevelled edges. Top edge gilded. (Boards lightly rubbed at edges, more markedly at corners and around spine). Gloriously decorated endpapers, gleaming with gilding. A fabulous collection of coloured plate illustrations of Queen Victoria's dolls, many of the modeled on real people, with accompanying descriptive text. Each text section starts with a decorated capital which, it seems, a previous owner has coloured, for the most part elegantly and neatly. Previous owner's inscription on half title, else internally clean, fresh and bright.
