xviii, 616pp, with 35 plate illustrations, giving specimens of the work of artists of the period. From an edition limited to 1000 copies. In a later binding, quarter linen over cloth (a little rubbed at edges, gilt stamped Skipton Public Library, lightly sunned on spine). Nice speckling on text block edges. Remains of label on front paste down. Original endpapers a little toned, else internally neat, clean, fresh and tidy. Firmly bound. Essential reference volume for collectors of 18th century books, giving details of a illustrated books and hundreds and hundreds of works of art. Royal 8vo. A large and heavy volume which may require an additional charge for overseas shipping.
