Uncorrected bound proof. xii, 288pp. In stiff paper wrappers. 8vo. Covers worns and chipped at edges, some closed tears and creasing on verso, discoloured, spine creased and cracked, internal tape repair inside front cover. Text block edges softened and worn. Internally a hint of page toning, especially at extreme edges, and a few signs of handling but generally neat, clean and tight.
More than a travelogue, although it is that, Hawkes and Priestley present a studied analysis of the American South-West and the people who make it.
