First edition, first impression.  180pp with occasional black and white illustrations.  Blue cloth-covered boards with gilt titles on the spine. Cloth slightly tired, very gently pushed at spine ends, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.  In its original laminated, illustrated dust jacket, just a little shelf worn and very slightly bumped on extreme edges, not price clipped. The curious tale of George IV's long-term love affair and marriage to Maria Fitzherbert - which argues that the couple had children, whose existence could (should?) have changed the line of succession to the British throne, notwithstanding the Royal Marriages Act 1772.
