xii, 810pp with over 1,000 illustrations including 35 folding plates. Red cloth-covered boards with gilt motif on upper panel, gilt lettering on spine. Brown endpapers. A hefty 8vo. Cloth a little worn, rubbed and cracked at spine ends, gently rubbed on corners. Text block edges a little toned. Endpapers have a few fingering marks else internally clean, bright and tight. One of the folding pages was slightly misaligned during the printing process and as a result is bumped on edges which protrude the text block.
