An early but undated edition, estimated circa 1920. 320pp with a monochrome plate frontispiece. Red cloth-covered boards with black decorations and black lettering on the spine. 12mo. Cloth worn and faded, a little marked, rubbed and rounded at corners and ends of a sunned spine. Hinges cracked with consequent loosening. Text block edges and page edges heavily tanned. Fair condition only but complete and readable.
An unusual novel regarding a young student who turns to spiritualism, here cast as a form of demon worship, after the loss of his finance.
