68, [iv]pp, with black and white plate illustrations.ย  Red cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine.ย  12mo.ย  Cloth worn and a little soiled, gently rubbed and rounded on corners, heavily sunned on spine, the lower half of which is absent.ย  Internally a little toning to first and last few leaves else neat, clean and tight. The preface of this book begins: "The interest which the French system of market-gardening has aroused in England and the likelihood of a rapid increase in this closest of all forms of cultivation, has made urgent the publication of a practical treatise which shall be authentic and simple".
