First edition, first impression. xii, 730pp, with numerous black and white illustrations, tables and technical drawings in text. Red cloth-covered boards, gilt-stamped lettering on the spine and upper panel. 8vo. Cloth a little tired and faded, boards gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends. Hint of toning to endpapers and occasional minor l signs of handling internally. Previous owner's name, crossed out, on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.
