xvi, 378pp; many black and white photographic plates. Brown cloth-covered boards; gilt design and titles on front, gilt titles on spine; top text block edge gilt, remaining edges untrimmed. 8vo. Sun-faded spine, heavily rubbed corners and spine ends with 3 cm split in cloth at front joint. Fore and bottom text block edges tanning. Endpapers tanning, front free endpaper loosely laid-in; gift inscription on front pastedown; hinges and gutters cracked and strained, volume very loose; pages tanning with some foxing.
