106pp. Copiously illustrated in black and white. Deep blue cloth-covered boards and coloured endpapers. Neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Pictorial, laminated dust jacket, with small scuff mark on rear lower edge, else appears as new. John Rocque's London map, published in 1746, compared section by section with a contemporary A-Z. Davies traces the changes from Georgian London to the modern metropolis, and shows how the plan of the old city is still visible in the streets of today.
