First edition, first printing.Β  52pp plus 16 colour plate illustrations.Β  Emerald green cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering on the spine.Β  Folio.Β  Cloth very slightly pushed at spine tips.Β  Upper text block edge a little dusty.Β  There's a hint of shadowing on the rear endpapers, else neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.Β  In its original dust wrapper, rubbed and a little bumped at edges, shelf worn, slightly sunned over spine. The America's Cup, a sailing competition, is the oldestΒ  international sporting trophy competition in the world, taking place between the holders of the Cup and a challenger team.Β  This volume celebrates and records its history, with fine colour plate illustrations recording some of the yachts which have taken part in the series races, from the iconic America in 1851throiugh to Gretel II in 1970.
