20pp stapled booklet, with eight full page, photographic monochrome illustrations in light card covers.  Landscape 12mo.  Covers are heavily worn and rubbed, curling at corners, faded.  The booklet has sustained some water damage which affects pages with rippling and some scarring throughout. Provides an overview of the history of the management of the River Thames, starting in the 11th century when the Crown claimed control of the Royal Rivers, outlines the constitution and operations of the Conservators of the River Thames, with a strong focus on works undertaken in the post-war era of the 1950s and early 1960s. We would not normally offer a book in this condition, but it is a very hard to find title and contains information regarding the management of the River Thames not readily available elsewhere, and it remaining complete and readable so may serve as a good research source.  Not returns on the grounds of condition on this one.
