240pp, with colour plate frontispiece and 79 further colour plate illustrations, all by Joan Lupton. Rose pink cloth-covered boards with black lettering front and spine. 12mo. Cloth a little rounded at the ends of the spine, slightly tired. Text block edges dulled. Previous owner's name neatly inked on the front free endpaper else internally neat, clean and tight. In its original faded dust wrapper, rubbed at edges, a little yellowed around spine, scuffed at spine ends with some visible shelf wear on verso.
A descriptive guide to annual and perennial garden flowers of which some 320 varieties are illustrated in stunning colour plates.
