The Observer's Book of Aircraft (The Observer's Pocket series, No. 11)

13th edition (printer's code at rear 986.1063, indicating the volume was printed in October 1963).  208pp, describing 156 aircraft with 278 illustrations.  Pale blue cloth-covered boards with deep blue titles front and spine.  24mo.  Cloth is heavily sunned along spine, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends.  Upper text block edge dust dulled.  Mild indentation on front free endpaper else internally neat, clean, bright and tight.  Plain dust wrapper with printed titles etc front and spine, rubbed at edges, with two compressed creases over front panel. 13th edition of Observer's Pocket book on aircraft in an unusual plain and apparently unrecorded variant dust wrapper.  The wrapper has no illustrations or colouring, just plain printed titles and is possibly a printer's dummy or a pre-publication wrap for a review copy (if you know better, please let us know).  Various other titles from the series, ending with Lichen, listed on the inner front flap of the dust wrapper.
