Reissue of the original 1913 publication. 180pp, with a smattering of black and white illustrations in text. Laminated, illustrated stiff card covers. 8vo. There is a flat crease on the rear panel of the covers else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout.
Working on the runic principles expounded by Guido von List, Philipp Stauff explores the runic symbolism and implications in the architecture and building of half-timbered frameworks through a movement which came to be known as Runenhauser. Runenhauser was later taken up by the SS, using it as a reference for the construction of Rune houses.
